Jess and Less talk about gun violence, specifically as it relates to the recent mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas in Parkland, FL, and more generally about what should be done about it - and what shouldn't.

Things like arming teachers? SHOULD NOT BE DONE. That is stupid. On the other hand, universal background checks and requiring insurance/liability on gun owners? We are for it. Opinions are mixed on whether people should have access to different types of guns.

Lots of props to the kids who are leading the way. We are here to stand in support of you and help in any way we can.

Jess and Less discuss a range of topics including the White Feminism of the Women's March (and the related schism in the Cincinnati area activist community) and the State of the Union. With some digressions about IKEA and escape plans, and how we have a real live organic fan! (Hi Anya! Hi Mom!)

Jess & Less return in 2018 to talk about the Women's March 2018 (National Call to Action "Hear Our Vote") and discuss how electoral politics, while important, are not the be all and end all in activism or importance, is it an inclusive tactic, as some may like to believe.

Other discussions: Immigration, a bit about the tax legislation, how each of us should choose our lane but recognize that everything is connected/intersectional, and why maybe Lysistrata is our only hope.
